1st prize in harp and chamber music at the Paris CNSM and holder of the CA (certificate of competence), Ghislaine Petit-Volta is a professor at the Paris CRR (regional conservatory), professor at the Paris-Boulogne superior pole and didactics professor of harp at the CNSM of Paris.

Jean-Louis PETIT

BIOGRAPHY

Jean-Louis Petit studied organ, harpsichord, scoring and composition in Olivier Messiaen’s class at the Paris CNSM, then orchestra conducting under Léon Barzin, Franco Ferrara, Igor Markevitch and Pierre Boulez.

Bertrand PEIGNE

BIOGRAPHY

His studies were rewarded with numerous prizes, all unanimously awarded, and with the Diploma of Higher Education in Composition, with distinction. Since then, his musical activities reflect his passion for various aspects of the musical profession.

Sergei PATRAMAMSKY

BIOGRAPHY

Sergei Patramansky (1964) is a member of the Russian Composers’ Association. He graduated from the Ural State Conservatory, studying composition under Professor A. Nimensky in Yekaterinburg. He took a composition master class with S. Berinsky (Moscow) and an orchestra master-class with A. Terteryan.

Serge PALOYAN

BIOGRAPHY

In 1970 he entered Louis Robillard’s organ class, 2nd medal, and Marcel Damant’s trombone class (2nd prize).
As a conductor, he has been invited to conduct in Czech Republic, in Poland with Ukraine’s Lviv Opera Orchestra and with the Rzeszow Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor of the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, he has also given many concerts in Spain, Switzerland and Germany.

Sylvie PARLATI PEREIRA

BIOGRAPHY

Sylvie Parlati started learning the guitar at age 8 with her father. She gave her first performances as a soloist at age 9. She continued her apprenticeship with Jean-François Lutz at the conservatory of Colmar for a few years. In 1989 she was admitted into the Madrid’s Real Conservatorio Superior in Jorge Ariza’s class and secured her prize.

Ramon PASTOR

BIOGRAPHY

 

In the same conservatory, Ramon Pastor taught harmony and instrumental ensemble, and is currently a professor of composition. His music has been performed by many orchestras, various soloists and chamber ensembles.

Among many commissions and prizes, including that of the SGAE in composition and the "Ciudad de Valencia", he undertook the writing of an opera for children and adults (commissioned by the Diputación of Valencia).

Daniel OUZOUNOFF

BIOGRAPHY

A French composer of Bulgarian descent, Daniel Ouzounoff (1929-2015) played piano before devoting himself to composition. Self-taught, he was involved in the adventure of the Lasry-Baschet Sound Structures in the 1960s, taking part in numerous tours and television shows. His catalogue includes several chamber pieces as well as symphonic and concertante works. He wrote the librettos for the vocal works he composed towards the end of his life. The series of four «Phoniales» is based on the idea of the duet.

Alexandre OUZOUNOFF

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Paris in 1955, Alexandre Ouzounoff helped expand, over a period of twenty years, the contemporary repertory for bassoon thanks to his contacts with composers. Having practised improvisation with musicians of varied backgrounds in Europe as well as Africa and the United States, he chose to devote himself to composing commissioned works, while regularly arranging pieces for a wide range of instrumental settings.

Having played together since 2009, a partnership rooted in a deep friendship, these four musicians explore the rich sound palette of the saxophone quartet with their performances of transcriptions as well as new works.

Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, this original ensemble has made its mark on the international music scene, and now stands as a true ambassador for the French brass school.
