BIOGRAPHY
In the same conservatory, Ramon Pastor taught harmony and instrumental ensemble, and is currently a professor of composition. His music has been performed by many orchestras, various soloists and chamber ensembles.
Among many commissions and prizes, including that of the SGAE in composition and the "Ciudad de Valencia", he undertook the writing of an opera for children and adults (commissioned by the Diputación of Valencia).
He has had both his 3rd Symphony and Concerto n°1 for piano and orchestra recorded by Rumania's RTV Nationale. While he mainly composes symphonies (6 for large orchestra and 5 for chamber orchestra), he also enjoys a career as concert pianist, performing his own works.
His music for concert band is chosen for its complexity and is very often required in a number of national competitions.
