Bertrand PEIGNE

Born in 1971, Bertrand Peigné studied harmony, counterpoint, fugue, forms, orchestration, music history, analysis and aesthetics at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris.

BIOGRAPHY

His studies were rewarded with numerous prizes, all unanimously awarded, and with the Diploma of Higher Education in Composition, with distinction. Since then, his musical activities reflect his passion for various aspects of the musical profession.

He has composed over twenty works for a wide range of instrumental and orchestral line-ups, as well as a cycle of melodies (« m.») based on poems by Alfred de Musset.

He has also written numerous arrangements at the request of various luminaries of the musical world (Claude Delangle, Gilles Thomé, Emphasis quartet…) or institutions (such as the Swiss Opera Studio in Bienne).

A professor of musical culture and analysis at the Aulnay-sous-Bois CRD, professor of analysis at the Pôle Sup 93, Bertrand Peigné is also the soprano saxophonist in the Emphasis quartet.
