Ryota NOMURA

BIOGRAPHY

Having completed his studies at the Senzoku Gakuen university in Japan, he joined Jérôme Laran’s saxophone class at the Academy of music and dance in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
He has participated in many concerts, recitals and concerts for young people.

In particular, with his «Saxophone Live», he performs his arrangements and original compositions.
He is a member of the operating committee of the Japanese Saxophonist Association.

Luc NIETO

BIOGRAPHY

Self-taught composer, he uses tonal or atonal langage according to the color or the expression he wishes.

He composed many pieces for guitar, and works for chamber music and theater.

First prize in the Carrefour Mondial de la Guitare de la Martinique Composition Competition in 1990 with "Les Yeux de Num" (Luc Nieto recorded it in 1994 for the CD Espace Tonkin-Guitare festival, also featuring Éric Franceries, Jacques Marmoud and Guillermina Soulès).

Corentin MORVAN

BIOGRAPHY

A passionate musician with an inquisitive mind, Corentin is a key figure of euphonium both in France and abroad. 
After training at the CNSM in Paris, he successfully took part in many competitions and won international competitions in Tours in 2011 and Jeju in 2018. Since 2019, he has held the position of principal saxhorn in the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine. 

Patrice MORANDEAU

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Paris in 1974, Patrice Morandeau began learning music at the age of 6, studying the violin, later switching to the viola then to saxophone, and very early on felt the urge to compose.

While studying for a master’s degree in history at the Paris I University, he also studied harmony, orchestration, analysis and French horn at the CNR in Saint-Maurdes-Fossés. As a composer, his catalogue ranges from chamber music to symphonic music and educational pieces; he also writes arrangements from the repertory for various ensembles.

Serge MOCHE

BIOGRAPHY

A native of Northern France, Serge MOCHE (1953-2007) took his first prize in percussion and prize of excellence in music theory at the Valenciennes and Lille conservatoires. He then studied at the Paris CNSM under Jacques DELECLUSE, securing a second prize in percussion in 1977.

Jean-François MICHEL

BIOGRAPHY

He won a bronze medal at the Geneva International Music Competition in 1975. He was solo trumpeter in the Munich Philharmonic from 1976 to 1986, when he was appointed professor at the Academy of Fribourg.

He performs as soloist, plays chamber music and teaches master classes in Europe, Japan, Brazil and Argentina.

Catherine MICHEL

BIOGRAPHY

Catherine Michel was born in Amiens, where she began her musical apprenticeship with her mother. She entered Paris’ CNSM at age 13, studying under Pierre Jamet, securing her graduation diploma two years later. She went on to win two major international prizes at competitions in the United States and Israel. She was solo harpist for both the Orchestre National de Radio France and the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris, and has taught at the universities (Hoch-schule) of Hamburg, Detmold and Zurich.

Jean-Dominique METEIER

BIOGRAPHY

Born 1963 in Le Mans, having won first prize in piano at the Gennevilliers music school, Jean-Dominique MétéIer holds a master's degree in music from Paris VIII university. A professeur agrégé in musical education and choral singing, he studied composition with Alain Bernaud, a teacher at the Paris CNSM. He has written several musicals and composed for various instrumental line-ups ranging from solo piano, to brass bands, flute orchestras, etc.

Jacques MERRER

BIOGRAPHY

Jacques MERRER, soloist E flat clarinet in the Lille National Orchestra, travelled to many countries and played in the most prestigious concert halls. He also holds a Masters of Arts and a teaching diploma for the clarinet, which prompts him to sign several educational books and to teach at the Arras Conservatory. Noticed by various composers, who dedicated works to him, he enriches the clarinet repertoire with frequent world creations : recitals and master classes in France, Russia, Mexico ...

Jacques MAUGER

BIOGRAPHY

A former soloist with the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, then with the Orchestra of the Théâtre National de l’Opéra de Paris, Jacques Mauger has since 1996 led an international career as concert performer.
