Jean-Claude HENRY

BIOGRAPHY

Jean-Claude HENRY studied at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris" where he was notably a pupil of Olivier Messiaen for analysis, Tony Aubin for composition and Rolande Falcinelli for organ and improvisation.
Winner of the International Organ Competition in Munich, organist at the church St Pierre de Neuilly from 1970 to 1990, he gives concerts in France and in Europe.

Michael HENNAGIN

BIOGRAPHIE

Hennagin’s formal training included studies with Leonard Stein, Darius Milhaud, the renowned Curtis Institute of Music, and Aaron Copland, who invited him to study with him on full scholarship at the famous Berkshire Summer Music Festival at Tanglewood.  In 1963, after completing his studies, he returned to Los Angeles to work in the Hollywood studios, writing excellent scores for television and film, including a now-famous episode of “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” (

Jean-Claude HAGEGE

BIOGRAPHY

After 10 years studying the clarinet (at the Conservatoire du Xe arrondissement in Paris) and saxophone (at the CNR at Aubervilliers - La Courneuve), Jean-Claude Hagège secured a degree in musicology (at Paris VIII university) and a first prize in jazz arrangement and orchestration (at the CIM under Ivan Jullien).

Alain GUILLOUZO

BIOGRAPHY

Following his higher education course in guitar under Roland Dyens, and in opera singing under Guy Chauvet, he devoted himself to composition with Alain Weber, and to arranging and orchestration at the CIM (the Paris-based jazz school) under Yvan Julien. He has since composed for cinema
both in France and the US. His musical eclecticism has led him to work, among others, for Guy Touvron, Yuriy Minenko, the Octuor de France, Juan José Mosalini or Disneyland Paris.

Francisco GUERAU

BIOGRAPHY

Francisco Guerau was born in 1649 in Palma de Mallorca and died around 1717/1722. He was singer in the Royal Chapel of Carlos II.

He published in Madrid in 1694 the collection «Poema harmonica compuesto de varias cifras por el temple de la guitarra española». We can find Spanish dances in the style of variation and ostinato: Folias, Marionas, Jacaras, Passacaille...

BIOGRAPHIE

Composition and improvisation have always gravitated around Éric Goubert like a self-evident truth.
From the very first time he lay his hands around the vast universe of music, the urge to create appeared.
He shaped this inborn talent throughout his youth - slowly but surely. And once this stage reached fruition, he decided to record his début album, Ivogabus : a work that punctuates and opens an experience fed on often opposite, but ultimately complementary musical
worlds. A clarinettist, he composes mainly around his instrument.

Jose Salvador GONZALEZ MORENO

Biography


He has been awarded with six first prizes of pasodobles composition in Cartagena (Murcia). Winner of the IV contest of composition of festive music «Villa de Calpe» in 2004 in the modality of Mora March.
In 2006, he was awarded again in the VI composition contest «Villa de Calpe» with the First Prize, in the modality of Christian March. During the IIIrd of the Altea Contest held in 2006, he is the author of two of the works required for aforementionned Contest, one for Euphonium in the 2nd Grade Cycle and the other for Tuba in the 3rd Grade Cycle.

Jiří GEMROT

Biography

Jirí Gemrot was born in 1957 in Prague (Czech Republic). He belongs to this lineage of composers whose most illustrious exponents include Janacek and Martinu. He also draws from musical tradition, which he expands upon according to his own inspiration. His repertoire includes several works for orchestra, miscellaneous concertos and many chamber music pieces : a quintet for piano and strings (2001), a string quartet (2005), 2 trios with piano, a quintet for clarinet and strings (2006), etc.

Luigi GATTI

Biography

Born on October 7th 1740, Giuseppe Gatti entered the Mantova seminary in order to receive training as priest and musician. After working as a tenor at the « Santa Barbara » Chapel, he was appointed, in 1769, second chapel master. In 1770, he met the Mozarts  - father and son - during their stay in the city. That same year the present « Sestetto » was composed.
