BIOGRAPHY

After 10 years studying the clarinet (at the Conservatoire du Xe arrondissement in Paris) and saxophone (at the CNR at Aubervilliers - La Courneuve), Jean-Claude Hagège secured a degree in musicology (at Paris VIII university) and a first prize in jazz arrangement and orchestration (at the CIM under Ivan Jullien).

Jean-Claude has been a professional musician since 1980. In 1985, he founded the Jazz Pro & Improvisation music school to share his passion for jazz and his experience of orchestral music. He has also taught jazz saxophone and clarinet since 1982. His experience in jazz and pop arrangement also allows him to lead Jazz, Funk and Latin Jazz workshops and to lead various ensembles, ranging from quintets to big bands.
