Jacques MERRER

BIOGRAPHY

Jacques MERRER, soloist E flat clarinet in the Lille National Orchestra, travelled to many countries and played in the most prestigious concert halls. He also holds a Masters of Arts and a teaching diploma for the clarinet, which prompts him to sign several educational books and to teach at the Arras Conservatory. Noticed by various composers, who dedicated works to him, he enriches the clarinet repertoire with frequent world creations : recitals and master classes in France, Russia, Mexico ... Invitations from the International Clarinet Association are for him an opportunity to perform at important clarinet meetings (Austin, Los Angeles, Baton Rouge, Madrid, Ostend, Knoxville…).

He is the founder of the Arcade Trio

With which he recorded several CDs. Its main activity is now focused on the collection entrusted to him by Editions I.M.D. The published works cover three centuries of music: baroque, romantic, contemporary. He is constantly looking for new talents among current composers while publishing ten volumes of orchestral excerpts for the E-flat clarinet (complete repertoire).
