Biography of Federico BEILINSON

He has completed his formal studies at the at the Facultas de Bellas Artes of La Plata and at the Escuel de Música Popular de Avellaneda, where in 2005 he obtained his degree as instrumentalist with specialty in Jazz Guitar. He has also made a deep intensification of his studies (as instrumentalist and as composer) with renowned teachers as; Manolo Juárez, Enrique Gerardi and Diego Schissi among others. 


He has received several awards and recognitions like an honorable mention in the Concurso de Música Popular Inédita  grated by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes, and the Beca del Bicentenario grated by the Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación. 
He is the author of several books, some of them edited by important culture entities such as El Libro de la Folcloreishon (2014); edited by the Biblioteca Nacional de la República Argentina, considered one of the most important books on the diffusion of Argentine folk music. Among his other books, there are three made up of original works for guitar in various ensambles, Elogio a lo mediato 2018), Diálogo (2015) and Argentine Music for guitar trio (2013).


He has released more then 10 albums with different ensembles which always revolve around the composition of a new repertoire within the field of Argentine music. 
It is with these ensembles that he has participated in the most important festivals in his country (Festival de Guitarras del Mundo, Festival de Tango BA, Festival de Jazz de Buenos Aires, Festival de Jazz del Bolsón, among others) as well as various national and international tours. 


In the field of pedagogy, he has been teaching since 2014 at the Escuela Popular de Música de Avellaneda in the subjects of Guitar and Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble Practice. He has participated in conventions and taught workshops on Argentine music in various Latin American countries.
