Biography

Franco-Argentine guitarist and composer, Dr. Martín ACKERMAN, also carries out an intense activity as researcher and pedagogue. Professor of artistic education at the Grand Chalon Conservatory and professor at the Burgundy Higher School of Music, he obtained Cum Laude mention for the International Doctorate in Education at the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2017. His field of research was conducted at the Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris (CNSMDP).

Since his first formation in Argentina with Víctor Villadangos (guitar), Antonio Russo (choir direction), Máximo Diego Pujol and Gabriel Senanes (composition), Martín continues his guitar studies in Europe under the direction of Luc Vander Borght (Prince Rainier III Foundation - Monaco) and Alberto Ponce (Normal School of Music in Paris).

He also deepens his composition studies with José Luis Campana. While still a student in the Principality of Monaco, he is selected as young soloist to play with the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as with the UAM Orchestra at the National Auditorium in Madrid - Spain.Several recordings (distributed by Naxos, Harmonía Mundi, Itunes, Deezer) are testimony of his activity as composer and performer in America (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico and Canada) and in Europe (France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Belgium).

As researcher, he participates in the publication of articles for different musicology journals such as «UNO VOXES», «Pensando en seis cuerdas» of the National University of Rosario (Argentina), among others.

His opus «El Salto de Tristán» (for solo guitar) has been the opus chosen in 2009 for the final test of the prestigious international guitar competition Robert J. Vidal - France.
