BIOGRAPHY

 

Ludwig Van Beethoven was born in December 1770 in Bonn, Germany. From a very young age, his father, who was also a musician, dreamed of making him a new Mozart by making him a keyboard player from the age of four or five.

Although Ludwig was not a child prodigy, he still had excellent musical dispositions.

Ludwig Van Beethoven, now a legendary character, had an incredible ability to compose and a gift for improvisation, opening up new perspectives in musical composition.

In 1787 he crossed the road to Mozart with the help of Prince Maximilian Franz.

First musical performances

In 1792, Beethoven returned to Vienna to complete his musical education. He took classes with Haydn, then Albrechtsberger, and Salieri. Three years later Beethoven gave his first public performances in which he performed his own compositions and achieved some success among members of the aristocracy.

From 1795, Beethoven began to compose piano sonatas and quickly became one of the figures of Viennese and international music.  At the same time, he saw his hearing abilities decrease. Faced with this dramatic perspective, Beethoven threw himself more beautifully into the composition from which he freed himself from the classical rules and produced masterpieces..

The 9th Symphony, "Ode to Joy"

From 1819, his deafness being total, he sank into deep melancholy. From this period, we remember the impenetrable «Hammerklavier». There is also the "Missa Solemnis" Solemn Mass and the sublime 9th symphony "Ode to joy".

Beethoven began a 10th symphony which he unfortunately did not have time to complete. He died on March 26, 1827 in Vienna.
