biography

Violist with the Orchestre National de Lorraine, Alain Celo also trained in composition with Claude Lefebvre, then with François Narboni. He also followed a complete course in composition at the Metz CNR (harmony, counterpoint, fugue and orchestration).
He received commissions from such ensembles as Souffle d’Ebène, Stravinsky and United Instruments of Lucilin, and from the conseil général of Moselle.

His works have been performed in Paris, Metz, Luxembourg, Berlin, Prades...

Espaces désertiques as well as Le Graoully, dragon messin, were recorded and released for the Parnassie Editions label (PAR 32), a
release shortlisted for the 2008 secondary school pupils’ Grand Prix of composers.

L’Amour et le Sablier, for soprano, flute, viola and piano (2004) was published by Editions Musicales Européennes, as were Espaces désertiques and Âme Errante for solo violin. Educational pieces for flute are also available in Annick Sarrien-Perrier’s exercise books
for Robert Martin.
