BIOGRAPHY
Born in Paris in 1922, the composer Patrice SCIORTINO has produced a large body of works which pass from solo pieces to symphonic portraits with choir, certain of which were government, radio or ensemble commissions.
He has also written numerous operatic works, ballets and vocal pieces. During his thirteen years as director of the XIIIth district Conservatory in Paris and at the moment professor of composition at the Schola Cantorum, he wrote educational music for each family of instruments. Clearity and energy are combined in the polyphonic character of his style.
