biography

Jean-Jacques FIMBEL enlarged is knowledge with Antonio MembradoBetho Davezac (with whom he studies the repertoire of the baroque and the romantic guitar as well the one of the vihuela) and Alberto Ponce at the Ecole Normale de Paris, where he got degrees in history of music, analyst and composition and guitar technique.

JJ Fimbel also arranged and composed (four volumes published at François Dahlman: Homage to King Crimson, for “Cine club”, Five “Macropieces” and four “Amusettes”).

He teaches with Roland Dyens (International guitar week of Colmar) 2007-2013. He recorded CD and took parted to several programs broadcasted on Arte, FR3, and on the radio.

 

He regularly performs in Europe as a concert artist, in the Duo Bergamasca (on original instruments), Duo Fimbel/Membrado"On s'voyait déjà" Duet (Jazz, chansons françaises et internationales)...

Namely to the international of baroque music in Mulhouse, to the international festival of chamber music of Illzach or the international festival of  Badenweiller in Germany, Freiburg, Stuttgart, Konstanz, Paris, Tokyo, Milan, Bern, Bâle, Florence, Metz, Mulhouse, Strasbourg…
