BIOGRAPHY

In 1987, Frédéric Unterfinger won the first composition prize at Most composition contest. In 1998, he won a first writing, orchestration and analysis with a specialization for music in the image at « Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon.


His artistic encounters made series commissions occasions, songs arrangements, albums, shows. He will approach all kind of music with French songs, children movies and variety…


He create for stage many instrumental pieces, chamber music, symphonie and lyric, and many pieces for harmony orchestra. He may as well composes music for silent films like « The Emigrant » by Charlie Chaplin for symphony orchestra and « The Scarecrow » by Buster Keaton for oboe and chamber orchestra.

Jean-Jacques Fimbel meeting introduced him to classical guitar world, since he composed several pieces for chamber music with guitar. Then, from 2003, he has been teacher of writing and orchestration at Conservatoire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre de Mulhouse.
