BIOGRAPHIE
Franz Anton Hoffmeister was born in Rottenburg-am-Neckar in 1754 and died in Vienna in 1812. In addition to his activities as composer, he published numerous works by his contemporaries, including Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Clementi and Vanhall.
He composed many symphonies as well as concertos for various instruments - including one for viola and double bass.
